Robert Bresson’s “It is with something clean and precise that you will force the attention of inattentive eyes and ears” – for shorter formats, that’s everything as far as I’m concerned. Whether pushing emotion, humor or both, reaching an audience arrives from detailed thought, planning and an uncluttered execution. I’m always happy to collaborate on the idea from inception through post. A strong idea on paper, teamwork throughout production and executing the board with a cut in mind are my goals starting any project.
I’ve directed commercials you’ve seen - British Airways, Verizon, Target, Mercedes, award winning music videos for Stone Temple Pilots and other artists you enjoy and some short films, hopefully, you haven’t missed - “Lifetripper”, winner of SUPERSHORTS Film Festival London, is a good one. "Faith's Letter", my campaign for Cottage Hospital, won three Golds at the 2019 Telly Awards.
Born in the midlands from northern parents and raised in the south – English country muck and nettles, now residing in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. A visceral sense of adventure that’s led me from one place to another has never left me. A passion for pictures, people and story has taken me all over the world. I still pack my wellies.
